This week was Berlin Fashion week and guess who was in the middle of it all :) Well, not in the middle but at the side line - second row last night.
After waiting for what felt like forever and some obstacles to get it (nobody know if my ticket was valid or not), the REUSE:it Show started at about 8.45. I was trying to take some pictures to show - but they just did not so the Art on stage justice. I filmed a few shows, but I am sure BAFW.de will provide professional videos from the show... Here the official teaser: https://youtu.be/CnHhDWcMYx8 Here are some attempts from the last act... man- they rocked!

I am finally back online. With that I can finally update my blog :)
Now 4 weeks ago I've moved to Berlin. I was fortunate enough to have an apartment right away and still it was quite different to what I am used to from Dublin. Here rental apartments are rarely furnished. Mine did not even have the floor fixed or a kitchen... While I am still waiting for the kitchen appliances to arrive, I can thank my dad for laying the floor for me and installing lights in all rooms: Thanks Pa ;) The first nights I slept on a folding mattress in the kitchen. Luckily I did not need to sleep in the bathtub. By now I spent way too much money but at least I am happy with the outcome as my apartment is now almost presentable :) Also I have been able to sell my car -thanks Michaela. The new owner spend less than I would have liked but at least now I have 1000 euro drinking money for my birthday party in 2month! Yes 2 month 'till my big 0. I am hoping for a lot to happen during that time. First step towards becoming a designer with enough income to support my living? Connections! So what better way to connect than to take over a fashion related meet up in Berlin? We had our first meeting this week. Though I am a bit disappointed in the turn up I was glad to meet two wonderful women. One full of passion for art and the other with a lot of wisdom and experience. Just by chatting I felt inspired to start my new collection again after I had wanted to put it off for a while. I wil continue my meet ups and even if I have only 1 person showing up each time I believe it is worth it. And in another topic: Kiev! Yes my dear followers, you probably know what I am talking about... May 2017 I will be in Kiev for another crazy Esc time. Can't wait for it! Whilee I have been a volunteer and got a fan accreditation already, this year, I am trying to get a P- Accreditation. I know I am not Press in the traditional sense but as a blogger, I'd say I qualify. Last time I had already kept you posted on my experiences but this time I want to focus on music and design. Anyways, it is still some time until May and a lot to talk about in the meantime. Here, however, a few impressions of my new appartment in Berlin: |
